Sponsoring the Musically Challenged challenge blog!

Hi all Monique here,

Today starts the new challenge at Musically Challenged challenge blog. all challenges are inspired by Music; and this one is all about songs that have an Alice in Wonderland theme.

Rick St.dennis is sponsoring, and some of the EDT members were invited to make a project as guest designers.

Starting out with mine:

The song that inspired me is "Through The Looking Glass"-  by "Mott the Hoople"

I used distress inks for the background, all images and letters are rubber stamps, stamped with archival ink.
The embossed card symbols are a cuttlebug embossing folder and the gold is Metallic Lustre, Iced espresso, by DecoArt

Sue using  "2 Beauties"

Inspiration song is  "Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum" by "Bob Dylan"

KristyLee using "Alice in the garden of live flowers"

Inspiration song is "Sunshine" by "Aerosmith"

Here is a list of some songs to help you out in choosing a song that you would like to be inspired by so you can join us at the Musically Challenged blog :
1. I Am The Walrus - The Beatles
Thank you for your visit today!

The EDT were asked to provide some inspiration to help out the regular DT. Of course we rose to the challenge. Now anyone that knows me, knows that this is not my usual style. How did I do with the gorgeous 1935 Hat Lady?

Got Snowmen????

Hi there, Kristen here to share my newest card with you today.  As much as I hate to admit it, we are still in the middle of winter, and what would be a more appropriate card than a snowman card.  I have created this card using Rick St. Dennis Frosty digi stamp, which you can find over at Zibbet.  I think this snowman is adorable. He really looks like a snowman the kids would put together.  Super cute image.
Here is a close up of the image....Like I said he is super cute......If you still haven't had the chance to visit Rick's Zibbet site, you really should check it out, he has over 700 images at his site, and they are all amazing!
Well, I hope you enjoy my snowman card.  Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by. Happy Creating!

just dance

I used some wonderful  stencils by Dutch Doobadoo and an airbrush with some copics.

For the 1st layer I used the flower stencil and several colours.

For the 2nd layer I stamped with copics and some stamps by Deep Red and Hero Arts.

For my last layer I used modeling paste by Liquitex and the diamond mask. The modeling paste is semi opaque so you are able to see the copics colours shining trhough a little.

And this is the finished product with a Rick St Dennis image (limehouse burlesqephant), lots of cute flowers and quote from the internet.

hugs

January 2014 Freebie Challenge

Good morning everyone. We at the EDT would like to wish you all a very happy, healthy and crafty New Year.
Did "Santa" bring you loads of crafty goodies? Have you had a chance to play with them yet? You, like so many, have probably been too busy with friends and family get-togethers over the Holiday period to do much crafting. Hopefully, now that the excitement has dwindled, you will get that chance. What better way can you think of than to join us with this first challenge of the year? As usual, it's an "Anything Goes" challenge with only one rule - the Freebie that came out with the January Newsletter from Rick St Dennis has to be used. If you don't yet subscribe to the Newsletter - why not? It's free and there's always the image for these little challenges of ours. All is not lost though, Baby Bacchus is available in Rick's Zibbet shop so that you can join in and be in with the chance of winning more of Rick's wonderful images. If you did get some new crafty goodies, why not use them here. No extra brownie points but we do like to share in others' good fortune (and we're nosey!).
While I have your attention, did you get a chance to have a look at all the Christmas projects The EDT lovingly made during December? The Tuts and Comments blog featured some amazing gift ideas, some of which can be adapted for a birthday gift and for those lovers of the alternative - there was the Airless Chambers contribution to Creepmas.

Back to our challenge this month. The EDT have been busy and produced some projects to get the inspiration started using BABY BACCHUS.
