March Daffodil by Helene

Hi all,
I guess it's no secret that I absolutely adore all the images found under the section Hats on Rick's Zibbet page.
This time I've used the image March Daffodil to decorate a gift box I made. I'm extra proud of the tiny "feet" on the box - they are actually supposed to be used as piercing studs (!), I bought a bunch of them really cheap on e-bay :).
I'm usually quite scared of the colour yellow but this image really invited me to use it, thank you Rick for creating images that inspire me to leave my comfort zone!

Image is coloured with Distress Ink Markers, blinged with Stickles and Perfect Pearls.

Thank you for stopping by today!

taking a nap.....

Hi everyone, today it's my turn again to post a creation on this blog.

I coloured the image with my copics using the following colours:
E000, E02, E13, E17,BG49, BG754, B0000, B04, BV00, V15, G94,G99, YG03 and YG17.

The background is made with some of the fabby Dutch Doobadoo stencils using an airbrush and the colours: B04, V15Y and G15. I also used some stamps for the background, all designed by Noor! design.

The flowers are from the hobby and craftshop and coloured with V15 and B04.

mad hatter's teaparty

I have used the new teapottemplate by Dutch Doobadoo (productcode 470513500) in a complete different way. I used it in a canvas which I used the other way around too. Had to tear the fabric and nailed it with some very tiny nails to the side. Paints are by Decoart.

Cut the teapot out of cardstock and used the flitterglu by Indigoblu with the Dutch Doobadoo bubbles mask  (productcode 470715017). For the middele part of the teapot I used an embossingfolder with pan pastels metallics.

For the final decoration I used a child's tea set and painted it with alcohol inks by Ranger.  The image is the gorgeous "falling Alice" by Rick st Dennis.

have a fabulous day

I would like you to meet this wonderful lady... her name is Felicity Hump and she has been invited to the vicars luncheon. I think she is cheeky and a bit loud (like me) she sometimes barks when she laughs, has no time for expensive make-up or diets. Would be a very loyal friend and would share her last cupcake with you. I would love to have this lady as a friend, I think she is brilliant! For more details please visit my blog. Sue x

KristyLee with 20 Winks an RSD favorite!

Good morning Friends,

It is a great day here in Rick St. Dennis or (RSD) land! And I have an altered tag to share with you all! I have used the digital image called "20 Winks" Follow the link to get yours!

If you are a Facebook follower, then you have seen this image, I posted it right after I colored her.

Well I created a Tag with her. I have been on a Tag kick lately? I only used spry inks for the back ground. I felt that if I were to use back ground stamps, the image might get lost in it, this way the focus is on this totally BEAUTIFUL fairy! I used a sentiment stamp that reads " Now and then it is good to pause in our PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS and just be happy." I felt this was a good sentiment with this image because NAPPING  makes me Happy! I hope you like my tag!

Don't forget about Ricks Zibbet and Etsy stores. Take a look at the side-bar there are links to tutorials, from some of the BEST artist around!! Go check it out! There is a Gallerie for your inspiration!

And lets not forget about the blog "Airless Chambers" for a little bit darker side. And Steampunk too!

I wish you all a Blessed Weekend! Stay Crafty my Friends!

Star Fairy recharging her batteries

The Star Fairy by Rick can be found here at Rick's Zibbet site. I love this image, as she is drawn in a sitting position I can build a scene around her... in fact, on checking, I find I am using this image for a variety of occasions.  Printed onto neenah coloured with promarkers with glitter on the wings. The sky is quite pale... coloured with chalks which I think has an ethereal quality. More details are on my blog, hope you have a moment to visit. Sue x

August Poppy

I have made a gift tag using the August Poppy image, one of Rick's Hat images and I sincerely love them all! I will most likely be back with projects using the other images soon :)
The image is coloured with Distress Ink Markers (mainly Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord and Frayed Burlap). The roses were originally cream coloured so I dabbed them with some milled lavender to match the image.

Have a lovely day!
